Did you know 13 is a lucky number?
At least it was last week in New Jersey because that’s how many people hit for at least $10,000 playing the New Jersey Lottery.
The big winner was in Ocean County. A Jersey Cash 5 ticket worth $1,883,824, was sold at the Silverton Buyrite in Toms River. The ticket was sold Dec. 6.
It wasn’t the only winner in Toms River. A Power2X ticket sold Dec. 8 at Silverton Pharmacy in Toms River was worth $10,000.
Monmouth County was almost as lucky.
On Dec. 2, a $50,000 Loaded ticket won the grand prize after it was sold at Welsh Farms in Eatontown. Another $50,000 winner, this one in Powerball, was sold Dec. 4 at Welsh Farms in Farmingdale. A $10,000-winning 200X Cash Blitz ticket was sold Dec. 5 at R&R Convenience Store in Freehold.
Those were our winners, but if you bought a ticket in other parts of the state last week, you might have won too.
On Dec. 2, a Super Crossword ticket worth $50,000 was sold at Earle Cafe & Deli in Jersey City.
On Dec. 4, a Powerball ticket worth $50,000, was sold at the Quick Mart in Linden, Union County.
