HOMER — Two people were arrested Monday evening following a “suspicious situation,” according to the Michigan State Police Marshall Post.
Troopers responded to the 700 block of South Hillsdale Street in Homer about 8:55 p.m.
Upon arrival, they saw an open door indicating a breaking and entering. Troopers located footprints in the snow leading them to another residence.
They obtained a search warrant for that residence, resulting in the suspects being placed under arrest for breaking and entering and stolen items being recovered.
The case remains under investigation.
