2 Red Lake men indicted for conspiracy to distribute meth, fentanyl

Dec. 23—MINNEAPOLIS — Two men have been indicted for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl in Red Lake Nation.

According to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice, on Sept. 4, 46-year-old Bobby Lee Donnell and 29-year-old Jordan Lee Lussier were stopped by the Minnesota State Patrol.

A state trooper checked Donnell’s and Lussier’s driver’s licenses and found both had been revoked, and Lussier also had a warrant for his arrest. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of over 50 grams of methamphetamine and over 40 grams of fentanyl, the release said.

Donnell and Lussier were each indicted on one count of conspiracy to possess methamphetamine and fentanyl with the intent to distribute. An arraignment and motions hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 24, 2025.

This case is the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, and the Minnesota State Patrol.

“An indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law,” the release said.
