One person was dead after a shooting early Friday morning in Phoenix, according to Sgt. Phil Krynsky in a statement from Phoenix police.
At about 9:30 a.m., the Phoenix Police Department sent officers to respond to reports of a shooting near 40th Avenue and Camelback Road, where police found a man, later identified as 20-year-old Said Abdikadir, dead from a gunshot wound.
Detectives responded and learned another gunshot male victim was dropped off at the hospital late on Thursday, with the vehicle quickly leaving.
Police were able to connect to victim to the shooting that left the Abdikadir dead, according to Krynsky.
It was not immediately clear what the circumstances were surrounding the shooting or when exactly it occurred.
“Multiple individuals have been detained and questioned,” but no suspects have been arrested as of Saturday night, said Krynsky.
“Detectives are actively following leads. Anyone with information can call Phoenix police or Silent Witness, if they wish to remain anonymous,” added Krynsky.
Anyone with information was asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) to provide an anonymous tip.
