BROCKTON — A female pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle at North Main and Battles streets early Tuesday morning. The Brockton woman died from serious injuries at Good Samaritan Medical Center following the collision, according to a statement from Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz.
A Plymouth woman was arrested Wednesday after she was caught on video nearly hitting a 10-year-old boy who was attempting to board a school bus on Friday, Nov. 29, the Plymouth Police Department announced in a press release.

A Plymouth woman was arrested Wednesday after she was caught on video nearly hitting a 10-year-old boy who was attempting to board a school bus last Friday morning, the Plymouth Police Department announced in a press release. Police said the alleged driver could be seen on surveillance video using a circular driveway to pass a school bus with its red lights activated, nearly colliding with a student who was running to catch it.

Brockton Fire lieutenant arrested on OUI going twice speed limit hit tree, police say
Brockton Fire Lt. Eric Maguire was arrested and charged with operating under the influence Tuesday night. According to a written statement from East Bridgewater Police Chief Michael Jenkins, police responded about 8:30 p.m. to Pleasant Street for a report that a car had struck a tree in front of a house. Officers saw a “severely damaged white SUV” that had apparently left debris and tire marks across several lawns. Police estimate the vehicle was going 60 mph in a 30-mph zone.

Middleboro man dies after being trapped inside burning home, victim identified
A Middleboro man who was trapped inside his burning home for 18 minutes died Tuesday from injuries he sustained in the fire, officials announced in a written statement Wednesday. The victim, who was the sole occupant of the home at 6 Locust St., suffered burns and smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in his two-story home Monday night.
