Dec. 10—LIMA — Nestled on Elida Road in Lima sits one of the fastest-growing franchises in the United States hopeful for its future.
Tuesday marked the second day of operation in Lima for 7 Brew, a drive-thru coffee franchise that offers coffee, smoothies, energy drinks, and more at 3194 Elida Road, which is between the Meijer gas station and Panda Express. The location is one of 30 slated to open across Ohio.
Employees were outside taking orders as cars slithered around the establishment Tuesday afternoon.
Maddie Turner, regional manager, is currently in Lima assisting with the opening of the location. 7 Brew is excited to bring something new to the Lima community.
“We wanted to bring something new, something exciting, something people might not have seen before,” she said.
As customers order and wait for their selected beverages, the sign of a familiar, well-known coffee chain hangs high in the air just a few buildings down. According to Turner, it’s not about competition.
“We’re just just an addition to the coffee world. We offer a lot more than just coffee, you know, we have tea, lemonades, smoothies, milkshakes, our own branded energy drinks, and over 20,000 flavor combinations,” she said. “I think there’s a lot that separates us from the typical coffee place just because we offer so much more.”
When it comes to the specific location, Turner explained that Elida Road is an opportunity for heavy traffic.
“It (Elida Road) is a busy road, especially around the intersection just so you can see us,” she said. “You can’t miss us with our neon lights and Christmas lights right now.”
The location is still hiring and expects to add 20 to 25 people to the team. “We hire a lot because we want to be flexible,” she said.
7 Brew has been in partnerships with humane societies and the Children’s Miracle Network as part of giving back to the community.
Elida Road has seen two grand openings within the last six days, the other being Raising Cane’s on Dec. 3.
