A man will be extracted to Queensland after he allegedly robbed a bank armed with a knife following a cross-border manhunt.

Police will allege a masked man armed with a knife and demanded cash from staff before fleeing the scene.

Police continue to investigate the alleged armed robbery at NAB on Griffith St, Coolangatta.
NSW Police later arrested the 48-year-old Maroochydore man on the Pacific Highway at Ballina – about 80km south of the Queensland border – about 7.30pm on Monday.
The man was set to appear at Lismore Magistrates Court, where Queensland Police detectives will formally apply to have the man extradited to Queensland on Wednesday.
It’s understood he’ll appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.
