Anna Marie Duran Anna Marie Duran, 86 passed away peacefully

Jan. 4—Anna Marie Duran Anna Marie Duran, 86 passed away peacefully in her sleep next to the love of her life on December 28th, 2024, after battling pancreatic cancer for almost three years. Anna Marie was born in Rodarte near Penasco, New Mexico. She attended Highlands University, worked for a bank in Taos, got married, moved to Albuquerque where she then worked for First National Bank. She later went to work for Smith’s Food and Drug as checker trainer where she retired after several years. She is preceded in death by her parents, eldest brother and first born son. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frank Duran, her daughter, Ruthie, her son Donald and wife Yvonne, son Frankie and wife Anne. Grandchildren: Michelle, Ryan, Derrick, Marissa, Ema and husband Denton, great-grandchildren: Landon, Penelope, and newest addition, Clayton, born six days before she went to be with the Lord. Anna Marie’s faith, courage and strength were an inspiration to all who knew her. She shared her welcoming smile and loving heart with everyone she met. She was selfless and always put the needs of others before her own. Her legacy will be remembered and lived on in her family, along with those who knew her.
