Are schools closed tomorrow? Here’s the list of OKC schools closed or going virtual Friday

After several Oklahoma schools called off classes on Thursday due to heavy snowfall, many have canceled school or shifted to virtual or remote learning for Friday, Jan. 10.

The Department of Transportation has deemed roads in southwest and southcentral Oklahoma, including Interstate 35, “severely slick and hazardous.” Crews are treating roads in northwestern, eastern and southeastern Oklahoma.

With the built-up snow, driving to the school pickup line or waiting for the bus may be harder than anticipated as some schools begin making decisions for Friday.

• Norman Public Schools: School and activities are canceled Friday

• Piedmont Public Schools: School is canceled on Friday

• Western Heights Public Schools: School canceled on Friday

• Moore Public Schools: Virtual-Remote Learning on Friday
