Some who walk among us absolutely adore their lawns — spending time, money and energy to keep them looking enviably pristine. And one such Aussie was devastated this week after an unknown driver threatened to risk their hard work by parking on the edge of their bright green grass.
The lawn enthusiast decided he needed to take revenge on the “double wheel man”.
“Thanks very much man, I appreciate it. Exactly what the lawn needed after a scalp, two tonnes on it,” the Melbourne man said. “I’ll mow my lawns in your honour. I usually wait for these random cars to move on before I flick dirt and s**t all over their car — today we’ll keep moving”.
The gardener proceeded to do exactly that, pushing and pulling his lawn mower within centimetres of the car.
It appears the driver parked on the resident’s grass to create more space on the road for fellow motorists to drive past. However, the gardener argued there is ample space on his quiet residential road, and nothing was gained, only lost, from the decision.
“There’s not much that s**ts me more than this in life,” he said.

Professional gardener says it’s ‘very hard’ to get lawn pristine
Professional gardener Nathan Stafford told Yahoo News “it’s very hard” to get Australian grass as green and pristine as the Melbourne residents so he can understand where his frustration came from.
“100 per cent if this was your lawn, you’re not going to be happy because it leaves marks on the grass,” he said. “I get his side, you spend a lot of energy to get it like that.”
However, Nathan would steer lawn enthusiasts away from behaving like this, concerned it may escalate the situation, and end with even more undesired outcomes.
“I would probably be more inclined to leave a note and just say, ‘Hey mate, maybe next time, is it okay if you park on the road and not on the grass?’,” he said. “We take pride in what we do and it’s our home,” he said.
