Baltimore Police arrested a 46-year-old man Tuesday less than an hour after detectives believe he killed his girlfriend at their East Baltimore home.
Officers responding to a reported assault at around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday forced entry into a residence on the 1000 block of Quantril Way in Armistead Gardens and found a 42-year-old woman suffering from trauma, the department said in a news release earlier this week.
The woman, identified Thursday as Krystal Praharnpap, was pronounced dead once medics arrived on the scene, police said. The suspect, her live-in boyfriend, was at the residence when authorities first arrived at the scene but had left by the time officers entered, police wrote in charging papers.
Police said in a Thursday news release that they had located the suspect nearby, on the 1100 block of Armistead Way, less than an hour later and arrested him. He was charged with first- and second-degree murder.
