Dec. 9—BYRON, Minn. — A Byron man was arrested after barricading himself in a residence while Olmsted County deputies attempted to serve him with a civil order.
Deputies responded on Dec. 6 to the 200 block of Second Place Northwest in Byron to serve a 49-year-old man an order to vacate and a writ of recovery of premises, according to a release from Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office.
The man refused to comply with the deputies’ orders and “barricaded himself in the residence,” the release said.
Deputies eventually took the man into custody for contempt of court, trespassing and obstructing the legal process. All were misdemeanors.
