Jan. 4—Carmen C. Rodriguez In the early morning of Sunday, November 24, 2024, Carmen Rodriguez, loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother (Nani) passed away peacefully at the age of 89. She was born November 8, 1935, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Carmen cherished her family. She loved watching sports; listening to 89.1 New Mexico Music Saturday mornings; attending musical productions; visiting the great-grandchildren in Arizona; traveling to Disneyland and Las Vegas; watching Chicago Fire; coloring, reading, going to casinos, and hosting family dinners. Although retired for a decade or more, she always was fond of the years she worked for Bernalillo County Elections. She was strong in her faith and watched multiple church services every Sunday morning. She was kind and empathetic to everyone and always willing to help others. Carmen is survived by daughter Lisa, sons Michael, Vincent and his wife Donna, granddaughter Vanessa and her husband Rich, and her two precious great-grandchildren Logan and Amelia. Carmen is also survived by her Sister Eva, many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and wonderful in-laws. Carmen is preceded in death by her beloved husband Felipe “Mickey”, her daughter Debbie, her son Phillip “Jugie”, and grandson Mickey Michael, Parents, and four brothers. A service to celebrate Carmen’s life will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, 10:00am at Legacy Church (East Campus) 4701 Wyoming Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87109 with a reception to follow. A private burial will be held at Mount Calvary at a later date. The Rodriguez family extends our deepest gratitude to the healthcare workers for their professional and gentle care.
