Dec. 20—Carolyn Janet Prude Doyle Carolyn Doyle (Carolyn Janet Prude Doyle), a beloved resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on January 08, 2024, following a short illness. In her passing, she was surrounded by loving family and friends. Carolyn was born in Albuquerque on January 21, 1937. Carolyn grew up in Portales, NM and graduated from Portales High School in 1954. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she worked after high school graduation while attending Eastern New Mexico University. Carolyn met the love of her life, Bob Doyle (Robert Renick Doyle), two years her senior, while still in high school. Carolyn and Bob were married on November 3rd of 1956 shortly before Bob’s graduation from Eastern New Mexico University. Carolyn and Bob moved to Albuquerque in the fall of 1957 when Bob started his career as a teacher with Albuquerque Public Schools. Carolyn and Bob’s first son, Craig Doyle was born in Portales in August 1957. Their second son, Clay Doyle was born in Albuquerque in June 1959. And their third son, Cole Doyle was also born in Albuquerque in October 1963. Carolyn was known for her constant source of love and support. Her dedication to her family was unwavering. Professionally, Carolyn had a successful career with Albuquerque Public Schools, where she made lasting contributions to the students and faculty of Wilson Junior High School. Outside of her professional life, Carolyn had a passion for quilting. She poured her creativity into every stitch and created beautiful works of art. Her talent was truly remarkable. Carolyn’s quilts, and the love and memories they represent, will be the treasured possessions of the family for generations to come. Carolyn is proceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bob Doyle (2009); her parents, Joe Gunter and Lela Mae Prude; her brother, Joe Corte Prude; her daughter-in-law, Deanna McDonnell Doyle; her sister-in-law, Thelma Ardessa Doyle Lacy; her parents-in-law, Lonnie and Esther Doyle; and her nephew, Jim Lacy. Carolyn is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Craig and Janet Muller-Doyle, Clay and Pam Holland-Doyle, and Cole and Sally Jo Gomez-Doyle. Also, her six grand-children, Joe Casey, Jesica Caitlin, Chase Holland, Christian Levi, Isaac Christopher Bacilio, and Nicholas Colin. Also her great-grandchild, Anthony Herculano Christopher. Kate was particularly close to, and is survived by her nieces; Linda, Sharon, Diane, and Susan Lacy. Carolyn’s warm presence is deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy of love and compassion. Carolyn’s ashes will be interred beside Bob’s in a private family ceremony at the Fairview Cemetery of Albuquerque, NM.
