Clarksville boy, 15, charged after 18-year-old killed in South Nashville shooting

A Clarksville teen is facing a criminal homicide charge after an 18-year-old was killed earlier this month outside an after-hours club on Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville.

The 15-year-old was arrested Wednesday, Metro Nashville Police said in a news release Thursday morning. The Tennessean is not naming the teen as he has not yet been charged as an adult.

Ashley Dominguez was killed Dec. 1 after a shooting following what witnesses reported was a “heated argument.” Gunfire hit the car Dominguez was a passenger in, mortally wounding her and injuring two other 19-year-olds, police said.

All three victims were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Dominguez died.

Surveillance footage helped police identify the Clarksville teen as a suspect, the Thursday statement said. Police are still investigating if anyone else was involved in the shooting.
