The Ohio State Highway Patrol Mansfield Post named Christian Reed as its Trooper of the Year for 2024.
The award recognizes outstanding service by one trooper at each post, according to a news release.
Reed graduated from Clear Fork High School in 2017 and earned an associate of applied science degree in criminal justice from North Central State College in 2020.
He previously served as a Richland County Sheriff ‘s Office deputy. He joined the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2021. Reed served in the Army Reserve from 2018 to 2024.
Christian Reed is the 2024 Trooper of the Year at the Mansfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
After completing training at the patrol’s academy, he was stationed at the Marion Post before transferring to the Mansfield Post in 2023.
Reed has received the Criminal Patrol award three times and the Physical Health and Fitness award since becoming a trooper.
