In Putnam, the National Weather Service said there’s a slight chance (only 20%) for rain and snow showers Monday afternoon, with high temperatures in the lower 40s and wind gusts of up to 20 mph.
Weather outlook for Lower Hudson Valley
Elsewhere in the Lower Hudson, look forward to more cold and windy days.
In Westchester, Monday is predicted to be partly sunny with high temperatures in the lower 40s, west winds of 10 to 15 mph, and up to 25-mph afternoon gusts, the NWS said.
Lows are expected in the mid 20s Monday night, with similar gusts possible.
Tuesday should be mostly sunny, high temperatures in the lower 30s, west winds of 15 to 20 mph and up to 30-mph gusts, the weather service said. However, AccuWeather said a snow shower “cannot be ruled out in the afternoon and evening” for Westchester and, for overnight Tuesday into Wednesday in Putnam: a “couple of snow showers.” But only a coating to an inch accumulation is predicted for Putnam.
For Rockland, AccuWeather said snow is also possible.
However, the NWS forecast didn’t mention snow Tuesday for the region, and according to their forecast: Tuesday evening is expected to be mostly to partly cloudy. Low temperatures should be in the lower 20s, with winds and gusts continuing.
A mostly sunny Wednesday is predicted to hit highs in the lower 30s. Northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph are in the forecast. Wednesday night is expected to be mostly clear, with low temperatures around 20.

Early look at weekend weather for Lower Hudson Valley
A mostly sunny Thursday has high temperatures in the lower 30s in the Lower Hudson Valley forecast. Thursday evening is expected to be mostly cloudy, then clearing, with low temperatures in the mid 20s.
Friday’s prediction is sunny, with highs around 40 degrees. Friday evening looks to be partly cloudy, then becoming mostly cloudy, with lows in the 30s.
The weekend could be a damp one.
It’s still far out from Saturday, but the forecast calls for it to be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of rain and high temperatures in the mid 40s. The same chance of rain continues into Saturday night’s forecast.
Sunday is predicted to be partly sunny, with a chance of rain in the morning, and a chance of rain and snow in the afternoon in the Lower Hudson Valley. From many days out, the chance of Sunday precipitation is currently at 30%, National Weather Service said. High temperatures are expected to be in the upper 30s.
