HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A woman who was killed in a hit-and-run outside of Myrtle Beach over the weekend has been identified, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said.
Cynthia Hernandez, 40, was hit by a vehicle on Claypond Road near Arrowhead Boulevard at about 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden said. She died at the scene.
McSpadden said the coroner’s office has been trying to locate family for Hernandez but have been unsuccessful so far. She was living in Myrtle Beach but was originally from Miami, and the coroner’s office thinks she may still have family there.
Anyone with information is asked to call the coroner’s office at 843-915-5110 during business hours or Horry County Communications/Dispatch at 843-248-1520.
