Dec. 11—CUMBERLAND — A city man is awaiting trial after he was arrested on charges filed by an Allegany County grand jury in October, according to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office.
Demond Arthur Scott, 37, was taken into custody Sunday when he was served a bench warrant issued in connection with four felonies and other charges contained in the indictment returned Oct. 17.
Scott remained jailed without bond Wednesday at the order of a circuit court judge made during a bond hearing Monday.
Court records show the charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics and related offenses were filed in connection with alleged crimes that took place in October.
