Was Donald Trump at Jimmy Carter’s funeral?
President-elect Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, silently paid their respects to Jimmy Carter, who died at the age of 100, on Wednesday at the U.S. Capitol, before attending the funeral on Thursday morning at the Washington National Cathedral.
They joined other politicians and civilians bidding farewell to Carter. Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, were among the other politicians who visited Carter on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Jan. 9, Trump did not have a speech at the funeral service. But, he was in attendance with Melania during the service.
President Joe Biden provided the eulogy for former President Carter. Other presidents were also in attendance, including Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. Only Biden spoke.
Trump sat next to Obama and had a cordial conversation before the funeral began.
Trump also shook hands with former Vice President Mike Pence, whom Trump blamed for not helping overturn the results of the 2020 election.
