Jan. 4—Doug Abrams Doug Abrams, age 69, a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, and loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024. Doug was a machinist in his professional life but was best known for his servant heart with his church family at New Life Bible Ministries, his compassion for New Mexico mothers with unintended pregnancies, and mentoring men at Steele Bridge. He was a retiree of Sandia Laboratories after 29 years of service, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved spending time with grandchildren, traveling with his wife, and he enjoyed the hobbies of windsurfing, skiing, and camping. He is survived by his wife, Roda; his children, Joshua, Jacqueline, Derek, Ashley, Natasha and Nathan; and his grandchildren, Jordan, Zarah, Lezra, Derek Jr., Ashton, Azariah, Molly, Isabel, and Cruz. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael and Karl Abrams, and Aunt Ruby. He also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Larry Abrams, his mother, Rose Abrams, and his brother, Bruce Abrams. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at New Life City Church, 5454 Venice Ave NE Suite E, Albuquerque, NM 87113. Interment will precede the memorial service at 12:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
