Eugene financial condition, building decarbonization

This week, Eugene City Councilors are scheduled to discuss strategies to decarbonize buildings in Eugene, hold a public hearing for the city’s supplemental budget and discuss the city’s financial condition as context to consider while they weigh a proposed fire service fee.

Lane County Commissioners are scheduled to vote on compensation adjustments for the county’s non-represented employees, hear a report on industry and demographic trends in Lane County and hear a staff follow-up on a report on barriers to housing affordability in Lane County.

The Eugene City Council meets to discuss its budget on June 24. Ongoing gaps in funding have led council members to propose ideas like a new service fee for fire coverage in an effort to cover costs.
