The Atlantic City Airshow, an event that typically draws huge crowds here, will not be held this summer, organizers said.
The show “will take a strategic pause for 2025,” said the Greater Atlantic City Chamber.
The two-day event also was canceled abruptly in 2024, with organizers blaming the withdrawal of an unspecified “major act.”
“We will use this time to reevaluate the overall operations of the show,” the organization said in a statement Friday.
“It is our sincere hope that we will once again be in a position to hold an Airshow in 2026.”
The review is to include consideration of costs, logistics and community engagement. Organizers will also be “creatively considering what future Atlantic City Airshows could look like,” the statement said.
The statement described the show, with a 20-year history in Atlantic City, as “New Jersey’s largest free event” and the “world’s premier beachfront airshow.”
“Our goal is to ensure the longtime viability of the Airshow,” it said.
“We recognize the Airshow’s significant role in our community and to the tourism economy, and we are steadfast in our dedication to preserving its legacy, while adapting to current economic realities,” it added.
