A Hartford woman was murdered almost six years ago. Her family hasn’t given up hope in finding her killer.
In a recent Facebook post from Peskey’s sister, Jessica Renken, a $100,000 reward was posted for information leading to the arrest of Peskey’s killer.
The offer is limited: Those with information have until Dec. 21 to come forward, according to the post.
“Please, if you know ANYTHING that could help us find closure to her story, come forward now! This is a very limited time offer, make it count!” Renken wrote in the Facebook post.
Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers found the body of 40-year-old Peskey in the driver’s seat of a car that crashed on Interstate 70 near Boonville, Mo. at 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 13, 2018, according to previous reporting.

An autopsy determined that Peskey, a realtor from Hartford, died of a gunshot wound fired from outside the vehicle, according to previous reporting. Her two children, ages 5 and 11 at the time, were also in the car at the time of the shooting. They were uninjured.
Despite receiving more than 60 leads within the first week of the incident, being featured on “Good Morning America” and appearing on the NBS News segment “Dateline,” investigators have still not found Peskey’s killer.
Authorities have remained tight-lipped about Peskey’s case, according to previous reporting. In 2018, they would not disclose what the children saw, where on her body Peskey was shot, what type of gun was used, whether the vehicle was in motion or where Peskey was going.

In a phone call with the Argus Leader on Tuesday, Sgt. Bradley Germann said while “leads have diminished greatly” in Peskey’s case, there are persons of interest in Peskey’s murder.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol considers Peskey’s case an open and active investigation, Germann said. He said Peskey’s case is “still on the [department’s] radar.”
A GoFundMe page for the family has received more than $11,000 in donations over the years. Peskey’s husband had recently come home from a military deployment in Afghanistan before the shooting took place. The GoFundMe was meant to support Christmas presents for the children and funeral arrangements for Peskey.
Peskey was known for her commitment to her children and to the Children’s Miracle Network, according to previous reporting. The woman always gave full attention to her children, with friends saying Peskey was “epitome of what a mother should be and do.”
Peskey had been volunteering for Children’s Miracle Network for many years at the time of her death, according to previous reporting. The Peskey family was a “miracle family” themselves when one of their daughters was born prematurely.
Those with information regarding Peskey’s death can contact the Missouri Highway Patrol at (573) 751-1000.
