The name of the woman killed off Murchison Road on Monday was released by the Fayetteville Police Department on Wednesday.
Jylin Matute Ayala, 22, of Fayetteville, was fatally shot in the 700 block of Topeka Street Monday morning.
Police said officers responded to the area about 8 a.m. and found Ayala who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death marked Fayetteville’s fifth homicide victim of the year and the fourth female victim.
