FORECAST: Winter storm moves out, slick conditions remain

ABOVE: The latest forecast update from Severe Weather Center 9. To stay on top of changing weather conditions, be sure to download our free WSOC-TV weather app.

Forecast:

  • The storm has moved out, with just a bit of light freezing drizzle leftover.

  • Travel remains quite slick in spots early this morning, especially on the north side of the area where they saw more snow.

  • The sky will clear later this morning and we’ll see plenty of sunshine to thaw and dry things out.

  • Highs top out in the lower 40s.

  • Any refreeze concerns tonight should be confined to mostly the mountains and foothills (of course some icy spots can’t be ruled out anywhere).

  • We stay dry and quiet throughout next week with temps remaining in the 40s.
