Fort Collins chiropractor sentenced to sex offender probation, jail in assault case

A Fort Collins chiropractor will serve jail time after pleading guilty to inappropriately touching clients.

Brian Rohrick, 41, was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 10 years of sex offender intensive supervised probation Wednesday, months after pleading guilty to second-degree assault, a Class 4 felony, and unauthorized practice of a chiropractor, a Class 2 misdemeanor.

Fort Collins Police Services began investigating Rohrick in January 2023 after a woman reported that she was inappropriately touched by her chiropractor over several visits. The woman told police she was “touched in a manner that was not consistent with her prior chiropractic appointments” during approximately three or four appointments between November 2022 and January 2023, according to Rohrick’s arrest documents.

The woman called the touching “invasive” and said she “remembered thinking that his actions had no legitimate medical purpose,” but she “did not feel like she had the power to tell (him) to stop.”

Similar conduct by Rohrick was reported to the Department of Regulatory Agencies in 2019, according to police.

In total, nine victims came forward during this investigation, according to the 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Rohrick was sentenced Wednesday to 60 days in jail on the unauthorized practice of a chiropractor charge and 10 years of sex offender probation on the second-degree assault charge. Nine other charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
