Frigid cold coming to Quebec and the East Coast as polar vortex pays visit

With the return of the polar vortex to North America just around the corner, Eastern Canada will be one of the regions impacted by its frigid-cold air.

For Quebec and the East Coast, it could be some of the coldest temperatures they have seen in years. Temperatures for the current winter season have dropped down into the middle of the -20s for some major cities across Eastern Canada, but frigid temperatures are in sight as the polar vortex heads eastward.

Quebec will start to feel the cold on Sunday with daytime highs hovering around the negative teens. Temperatures will continue to become more frigid as the core of this air tracks east. By Monday evening, temperatures may drop into the -20s.
