Glendale police responded to the area of Greenway Road and 59th Avenue on Sunday morning after receiving reports that someone had been shot by a family member residing in the same household.
Police said officers attempted life-saving measures on the victim before they were pronounced dead. Officers took the suspected shooter into custody.
Glendale police did not identify the victim or suspect and did not elaborate on how they were related.
