Jan. 16—The 28th annual Grand Lake Boat and Sport Show will take place March 7-9 at the Craig County Community Center in Vinita, Oklahoma.
Tonya Hargrove, executive assistant with the Grand Lake Association, said the show usually has around 20 vendors. Boats take up a lot of space, so the vendors will fill the building.
“March is getting close to lake season time,” Hargrove said. “Everyone is excited about getting back out on the water, so if you’re looking for a new boat, it’s one of the best places to come.”
The show’s hours will be noon to 6 p.m. Friday, March 7; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 8; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9.
Admission is $5 daily, with veterans and seniors getting in free each day.
The Craig County Community Center is at 915 Apperson Road in Vinita.
Beyond pontoon, tri-toon, deck and fishing boats, the show also will feature lifts and dock equipment, outdoor living furniture, boating accessories, electronics and dock services. People can talk to experts about boating safety, insurance, repairs and maintenance. Food will be available to purchase as well.
“It’s a fun time. There’s no telling what you’ll see or what the vendors will have for you,” Hargrove said. “If you haven’t been in a while, it’s a good time to check out what’s new for the lake season and the warmer weather.”
Booth spaces are still available and applications can be found online by visiting grandlakeboatshow.com or by calling Hargrove at 918-786-2289.
The boat show draws visitors from all over the Midwest, Hargrove said.
“This time of year, everyone is excited about what new lake items are out there, new fun stuff to play on the water with,” Hargrove said.
