Hampton Inn in East Peoria is getting a new brand name. Here’s what we know

With a new Hampton Inn hotel coming to East Peoria, the city’s existing Hampton Inn at 11 Winners Way will operate under a new name.

The Iowa-based development firm Frontier Hospitality Group entered into an agreement with the City of East Peoria last November to build a new Hampton Inn on an undeveloped parcel of city-owned land. The new hotel will be located at 220 Conference Center Drive, East Peoria, near Logan’s Roadhouse on the Illinois River.

“We plan to start building in the spring of 2025, and will open hopefully with favorable construction weather in spring or summer 2026,” said Frontier Hospitality Group spokesperson Jodi Hamilton.

The current Hampton Inn — located near the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino — is part of the Hampton by Hilton hotel chain, which is owned by Hilton Worldwide. Franchise owner George Johnson indicated the hotel will be remodeled this year and will continue operations under one of Hilton’s other brands.

“The re-branding’s going to happen sometime this year,” Johnson said. “We haven’t identified which Hilton brand we’re going to operate under yet.”

The new Hampton Inn location will have between 90 and 110 rooms. Frontier intends to invest $13 million in the project and will receive up to $1.3 million in TIF revenue. The firm will also be entitled to Enterprise Zone incentives including sales tax rebates for building materials and a discount on the cost of a building permit.

The Hampton Inn, located at 11 Winners Way in East Peoria, will get a rebrand later in 2025.
