Hillsboro woman had fentanyl/meth during jail booking

Dec. 10—A Hillsboro woman arrested during a Monday evening traffic stop was found with prescription medication and a fentanyl/meth mixture as she was booked into jail, according to the Priceville Police Department.

Kylee Ann Unthank, 38, was stopped at around 9:30 p.m. on Alabama 67, near the Interstate 65 southbound on-ramp, for a “switched tag,” Priceville police said.

Priceville police said they began a narcotics field investigation and found Unthank, who was a passenger, with an assortment of drug paraphernalia. Police did not specify the probable cause that led to the investigation.

Unthank was charged with illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Morgan County Jail, police said, where she was found to possess the drugs. She was additionally charged with two counts of possession and promoting prison contraband.

Unthank remained in jail on Tuesday in lieu of a $4,500 bond, records showed.
