HILLSDALE — A Hillsdale man is facing prison time for a slew of crimes he is alleged to have committed on Nov. 15 in Cambria Township.
Larry Edwin Estel, 47, was allegedly operating a motorcycle near Bear Lake when Hillsdale County Sheriff Scott Hodshire attempted to stop him for a traffic violation.
Estel took off at a high rate of speed, led Hodshire down to the public access to Bear Lake, and back out onto Lake Wilson Road before making his way to Cole Road where his motorcycle eventually ran out of gas.
Estel fled from the scene on foot before being caught by Hodshire a few minutes later north of the intersection of Cole Road and Sand Lake Road. Other officers had responded to assist the sheriff.

Estel faces up to five years in prison if convicted as charged.
He is being represented by attorney Kimm Burger in the matters.
