Two people have been arrested after an hours-long standoff in Brisbane.
The incident unfolded during the early hours of Saturday morning after police began chasing a blue Volkswagen Amarok Polar.
Tyre spikes were deployed on Old Cleveland Road to finally bring the chase to an end.

According to Queensland police two people inside the car fled on foot in opposite directions.
One person was quickly arrested while the other evaded police for hours, which started an operation to bring him into custody.
An exclusion zone was set up between Daveson Road, Old Cleveland Road, north to the parallel of Fleet Street and to Abelia Street.
Members of the public were urged to stay inside for their own safety. The second person was arrested at around 5am Queensland time.
The area has since been reopened.
“The declaration made under the provisions of the public safety preservation act in Birkdale has now been revoked and a male person has been taken into custody as a result of the incident, “ Queensland police said in a statement.
