In his second term as president, Donald Trump plans to beef up Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Border Patrol to help carry out his mass deportation plans and border security agenda.

One wing of ICE, Homeland Security Investigations, is responsible for investigating immigration and customs crimes. The other wing of ICE, Enforcement and Removal Operations, is responsible with identifying and deporting undocumented immigrants and immigrants who commit deportable crimes.
The Border Patrol is responsible for preventing illicit drugs and immigrants lacking permanent legal status from entering the U.S. between ports of entry.
