After a stretch of bitterly cold temperatures, blustery winds, and snow flurries across Ohio, many are turning to Google with one pressing question: “How many days until spring?”
The cold weather has settled in, high winds are howling and another snow storm is aimed at eastern Ohio.
Girl Scout cookie season just started and we haven’t even seen the first full moon of the year, yet many are already looking ahead to spring.
How many days until spring 2025?
Winter started on Dec. 20 and the season won’t change until Thursday, March 20, at 5:01 a.m. Eastern.
The vernal equinox is about 70 days — and counting — away.
Before spring arrives, the groundhog will have his say abut winter’s end. Groundhog Day is Feb. 2 and if Buckeye Chuck doesn’t see his shadow that morning we could get an early spring, the legend says.
And it’ll start to feel more spring like in early March when we push the clocks forward. Daylight saving time starts on Sunday, March 9.
And a month after the start of the season, millions across the country will celebrate Easter; it falls on April 20 this year.
