How many people from New Jersey will get Trump pardons in Capitol riot case?

President-elect Donald Trump announced Sunday he plans to start issuing pardons in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot on “first day.”

More than 1,500 people across the country have faced charges related to the Capitol riot, with offenses ranging from trespassing to assaulting law enforcement officers. Nearly 650 people are already serving sentences — about half of those who’ve pleaded guilty or been convicted.

In New Jersey, nearly three-dozen people have been charged for their roles in the Capitol incident, with some serving sentences in custody.

Here’s some of the notable cases in New Jersey.

Michael Daniele: A retired New Jersey State Trooper, Daniele was sentenced to two years of probation and fines and restitution. He was found guilty of four misdemeanors.

Stephanie Hazelton: An anti-vaccine activist from Medford, Hazelton is also known as Ayla Wolf. She pleaded guilty to interfering with law enforcement during a civil disorder. She served several days in confinement and 90 days home detention.

Rasha Abual-Ragheb: A Fairfield mother and member of “New Jersey Women for Trump,” Abual-Ragheb was sentenced to two months of home detention and 36 months of probation for her involvement in the riot.
