Kentuckians started the new week by watching a thick blanket of snow cover roads and homes, then ice and bitter cold temperatures made conditions even more harsh.
While not everywhere in Kentucky was packed with snow, cities in most areas of the commonwealth saw at least 3 inches over a two-day period ending Monday.

Kentucky is set to receive additional snowfall Friday, though the National Weather Service in Louisville is not certain how much snow there will be for various parts of the commonwealth.
