Dec. 19—CONVOY — An Indiana man was killed Wednesday in a collision between two semi tractor-trailer rigs.
According to a report from the Van Wert post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash took place at the intersection of U.S. 30 at state Route 49 North at approximately 6:16 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the report, Amie Marie Cook, 31, of New Albany, operated a 2018 Freightliner southbound on state Route 49 when she pulled into oncoming traffic. Her trailer struck a 2019 Kenworth semi driven by Blane Williamson, 64, of Kendallville, Indiana, which was westbound on U.S. 30.
Williamson suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Van Wert County Coroner’s office. Cook was treated on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
