Investigation into drugs, prostitution case leads to search warrant at Miamisburg home

A significant police presence was reported in southern Montgomery County on Wednesday morning.

Police and detectives were spotted in the 2400 block of Byers Ridge Drive in Miamisburg.

People in neighboring homes heard the Tactical Crime Suppression Unit using loudspeakers to tell people to walk out of the home. They also noticed other technology being used, including a small black drone.

Police on the scene told News Center 7 that they were there executing a search warrant at a home in the block. They also confirmed that a SWAT team had been on the scene to assist when they first got there this morning.

A few people were detained and questioned during the search but they were not arrested, according to police on the scene.
