A jackknifed semi-truck on southbound Interstate 71 caused significant traffic delays north of Columbus Tuesday afternoon.

A Columbus police dispatcher said the incident involving the lone semi happened about 12:18 p.m. at I-71 and Polaris Parkway. No injuries were initially reported, but the truck driver later requested medical treatment, the dispatcher said.

An Ohio Department of Transportation traffic camera shows traffic at Lewis Center Road after a jackknifed semi blocked traffic on southbound Interstate 71.

As of 1:15 p.m., some lanes of southbound I-71 had reopened and traffic was beginning to move, the dispatcher said.

A live traffic map from the Ohio Department of Transportation showed a 50-minute delay north of the crash site.
