Jackson Chamber announces January events

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is kicking off 2025 with several key events aimed at fostering community connections.

The first event, Off the Clock, will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Apex Sports & Entertainment, 3600 Wayland Drive, Jackson. This gathering offers a relaxed atmosphere for networking, along with refreshments.

“Whether you’re here to grow your network, unwind after work or meet new faces in the Jackson community, this is the perfect way to start 2025!” said a chamber representative in a press release.

Next, the 2025 MLK Diversity Breakfast will take place on Friday, Jan. 17, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the American 1 Event Center, 128 W. Ganson St.

This event celebrates unity and honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year’s keynote speaker will be Tonya Bailey, associate dean for diversity, equity, inclusion and community engagement at Oakland University.

“Network with leaders, celebrate achievements and get inspired for change,” said a chamber representative in the news release.

Tickets are $75.

Lastly, Wake Up Jackson! will replace the former Networking Nosh event on Friday, Jan. 24, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Commonwealth Commerce Center.

Jasen Schrock, president and owner of CENTURY 21 Affiliated

This month’s keynote speaker will be Jasen Schrock, president and owner of CENTURY 21 Affiliated.

Attendees can expect insightful discussions, networking opportunities and a celebration of community achievements. Tickets are $10 for chamber members and $20 for non-members.
