DUNMORE — Two juveniles have been charged in connection with a series of stolen vehicles in Dunmore.
Dunmore police responded to multiple reports of car thefts over the course of November and December, according to a news release.
“Officers were quickly able to discern similarities between the thefts, namely, the makes of the targeted vehicles and the way in which they were stolen,” the release read. The cases were forwarded to the department’s Criminal Investigative Division
The investigation led police to two juvenile suspects who were taken into custody Dec. 9.
The juveniles are charged with the theft of one vehicle Dec. 3, the attempted theft of a vehicle Nov. 25 and the attempted theft of a second vehicle Dec. 3.
“We believe the same suspects are responsible for additional motor vehicle thefts in Dunmore and the surrounding areas,” the release concluded.
The two juveniles are also charged with criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property and other related offenses. The investigation is ongoing.
