Know of any blighted city-owned properties? Petersburg wants your input.

The City of Petersburg is working with West Virginia University (WVU) and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)  to tackle blight in Petersburg by identifying city-owned properties that could be considered brownfields and/or abandoned and dilapidated structures to prioritize for revitalization.

Do you know of any buildings that come to mind? Are you interested in learning more about the city’s revitalization plans or joining the discussion?

Join the city at the Petersburg Public Library on Thursday, Jan. 9th from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to discuss these properties and then go out into the field to survey them. Lunch will also be provided.
