The girl’s mother called police at about 4 p.m. on Dec. 10 to report the incident. After seeing video footage, officers “quickly” located and apprehended Duran, according to the press release.

“Child safety is our top priority,” said Jeff Barnett, Kyle Police Chief, in a written statement. “We encourage all parents and guardians to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. Together, we will keep the children of our community safe.”

Police arrested Kyle resident Daniel Duran, 29, on Dec. 10 and charged him with stalking a 13-year-old girl.

Daniel, who was charged with stalking and resisting arrest, is being held on bond at the Hays County Jail. Records show a $20,000 bond for the stalking charge and a $2,000 bond for the resisting arrest charge.
