Law roundup: Man calls for investigation after llama loses its head

Jan. 15—A man calling the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office from Kalispell allegedly found his missing llama dead on his property and the head was missing. He told deputies the cut was suspicious because it looked clean and wanted a deputy to come out and determine if it was natural or not.

A Hungry Horse man was reportedly heard yelling at his wife and child, threatening to kill them when someone screamed, “Get off my mommy.” The caller reporting the incident to the Sheriff’s Office called back when the brute got in their face, yelling at them to “keep walking” and “get their parents to come fight him.”

Deputies responded to a report of an unruly grandson who was allegedly outside throwing things at his grandparents’ house in Columbia Falls, yelling and threatening to break the windows after being asked to stop using profanity.

A man in Marion allegedly hit a woman’s head twice.

A dog was spotted feasting on a chicken or turkey in someone’s field in Whitefish.

A group of friends were eating at a location and being respectful except for one fidgety woman who was allegedly making a mess and making employees uncomfortable because they thought it looked like she was “coming down from a high.” The Kalispell Police Department let her know she was no longer welcome in the business.

A woman reportedly drove to her ex’s house to drop off his mail when he pulled up behind her as she was leaving and started yelling and spitting at her. He then grabbed a screwdriver and used it to “punch out” the mirror on her vehicle.

An employee reportedly discovered a man sitting down in the bathroom floor who seemed “out of it” and wanted him moved along.

A woman allegedly tried to visit a patient in the hospital and the patient’s husband called the police saying she had been harassing him and neither he nor his wife wanted contact from her. Officers relayed the message that she was not welcome to visit and she said she would not contact them again.

A woman was concerned about the welfare of a neighbor she reportedly hadn’t seen come out of his house for three days and wasn’t answering his door.

A man complained that a small white car was speeding down Two Mile and was concerned it would lead to a crash.
