MANITOWOC – National Weather Service on Friday issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for north-central and northeast Wisconsin, including Manitowoc County.
The outlook said a light dusting of snow Friday could create scattered slippery spots on area roads and sidewalks in the morning — and again later Friday afternoon and evening.
It also said “confidence is increasing” that travel will be hazardous Sunday and Sunday night. That’s because of accumulating snow with a 70% to 90% chance of more than 2 inches across the area.

Particularly over northern Door County, the outlook said up to 5 inches is possible as a result of lake enhancement.
After the snow, temperatures are expected to drop. Wind chills across central and north-central Wisconsin late Monday night into early Tuesday morning could approach 20 below zero.
