Light snow, frigid temperatures forecast Tuesday. How much snow will Cincinnati get?

An arctic cold front will move across the region Tuesday, bringing a quick burst of snow.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, light snow will fall on Tuesday, with accumulations of less than an inch expected.

Snow and very cold temperatures may cause some slick areas, especially on untreated roads, bridges and overpasses, per a hazardous weather outlook. The snow will also blow around easily, occasionally reducing visibility as well. Winds will gust to 20 to 25 mph later in the day.

Make sure to use extra caution if driving late Tuesday morning into the afternoon and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Tuesday’s temperatures will range from the upper teens in the north to the upper 20s in areas south of the Ohio River. Wind combined with very cold temperatures will result in wind chill values ranging from 0 to 10 below zero Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Mostly sunny skies and cold temperatures are forecast for Wednesday. Snow showers will have the potential to spread into northern counties late Wednesday night and then pass across much of the rest of the area Thursday morning before exiting later in the day.

The next chance for precipitation will be in the form of rain, arriving Friday night into Saturday. However, a few snowflakes cannot be ruled out, particularly in northern areas.
