Lots of eyes on the Stark County housing market, now ranked among top 10 hottest in U.S.

Homes in the Canton-Massillon area make up one of the hottest markets in the country, and a good chunk of the attention appears to be coming from within the state.

According to Realtor.com data, properties in Stark County are viewed most often by users in Summit County, with 13.1% of in-state views coming from the area.

Out-of-state viewers took the second and third place spot, as Loudoun County in Virginia had the second-most views for Stark County properties and New York County in New York came in third.

Most of the top ten counties that viewed Stark County properties came from with in the state, as the list includes Tuscarawas, Wayne and Cuyahoga counties among others.

What’s the housing market like in the Stark County area?

In November, Realtor.com found the median listing price for homes in Canton to be just shy of $190K, well below the national average. The median price for home listings active within their period of observation for November was $246,000.
