Some Louisville-area schools are cancelling classes Monday as a winter storm moves through the area, bringing with it a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain and hazardous road conditions.
The inclement weather comes as some school districts, including Jefferson County Public Schools, were set to return from winter break Monday.

Officials from Jefferson County Public Schools have not made an announcement on whether classes will be canceled as of Saturday afternoon. District spokesperson Carolyn Callahan told WDRB-TV that officials may make a decision about Monday’s return to classes on Sunday night.
